A primer on e-mail's amazing capabilities...
Wellcome!
Hi all!
We have just settled into
FORTUNECITY, (the city that never sleeps).
These pages will contain a primer about
e-mail, We hope to update the site in
one week.
Sounds intersting? Any question?
Write to the e-mail address indicated
at this page's end.
We thank you for stopping by and hope
to host you again soon!
Ok, Here we go...
Well, you are starting right now explorating the cyberspace (it is much less
cyber and much more human you can think of...)and you have been told of your
"electronic mailbox"; it is something like your real mailbox but it also has
some unique features you are going to appreciate in a short while.

As an appetizer, your mail can be delivered 24 hours a day, due to the very
electronic nature of the media.
Then, privacy is much better than your real mailbox (provided you don't tell
anyone of your "password").
There is really little possibility of your mail not getting delivered
(or getting lost).
It is really cheap, expecially if your mail's volume is significant, if
compared to ordinary mail. The counterpart, is that all of your friends,
relatives, or customer, must have their own electronic mailbox too;but
fear not: services exists, which allow for the conversion to "fax" of your
electronic messages, and in a near future, we will hear of "text to speech
conversion" referred as a "normal practice".

These are just some of the interesting points, but how do I use all of
the features my e-mail software allows?
In these pages, we will treat e-mail software from a generic point of view.
Many (say, 98%) of the functions implemented in e-mail packages are the same
and once you can figure out the principle of operation, it is just question
to "customize" your own program.
If you are curious enough, you could also dive into some technical discussion
to evaluate the protocol (the set of rules) "state of the art".
If all of this sounds interesting, go on to next page; else we have appreciated
your visit mich the same and we wish you every success in surfing the internet!
